EXTORTION COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

Ok. Simply put. I'm nearing an end... I am broke and getting tired of inactivity. I am not leaving, extortion is not dying, but our assets... are no longer going to be solely my problem.


I am going to turn extortion mostly over to community management. If it keeps going is up to the members of extortion. I will still be around, but I can frankly no longer afford to keep supporting everything monetarily or emotionally. On the money part, it is as simple as that. I have none. On the emotional part, It is frankly the shitty games. I love the clan and am not leaving or giving up on it.
Because of this, here is what we are going to do. First, this is not up for debate. I am going to be a dick and pull the leader card here. I don't play it that often, but I need to here.

So, without further bullshitting:



First, the servers are going to become entirely community run. I am going to set up a donation pot, and weather the website and other miscellaneous things keep running is up to you good people.

We need a total of about 6$ a month to keep the website running. Between over 50 people, that is not really that fucking hard... IT is something like 0.12 each. If only 10 people donate to keep shit working... 60 cents..... Not.. hard. For those of you who ask, the 6 dollars is the combined cost of the domains and server costs divided by 12.

So, on the left side of the page in the next few days. I am going to put a little plug-in that will show how much we have in the "extortion bank" as it is now formally called.. What you guys do with it, is up to you... But If you want this place to keep going you need to make sure that there is about 6$ in it =p

I would ask that people really NOT just donate large chunks and forget about it, I would rather they subscribe for 60 cents and spread the cost over more people. It would help more in the long run..

FOR THOSE CONFUSED BY THIS: IF DONATIONS ARE NOT MADE THE SERVERSWILL GO DOWN; IT IS ON YOU NOW.

On another note. If you guys think that extortion should have a server for game XXXXX and you want the community to try it, we can use this donation system to have everyone chip in.


I did say entirely community run. So I am going to lay some ground rules for this in terms of recruiting, admins, and kicking.

First, all current admins stay and have abilities to kick, ban, etc. Admins should be trusted enough to do this.

Next, admin positions should remain with the current admins until we decide we need more. This decision will be made by the current admins when they feel they need it. At this point, you will hold a 30 day clan wide election for a new admin. Admins must have been a member for over a year. Pretty easy….
Admins should be trusted and for the most part level headed. Keep that in mind.


Criteria for kicking from clan:

1: Breaking a rule 3 times. No exceptions. Why have rules if we are not going to use them?

2: Being a douche bag to everyone in a malicious manner and non stopping after more than 3 warnings.

3: Multiple Admin Discretion. That's fucking right. Admins have the power to kick. Remember it. If all admins feel someone should be kicked. That's it. All admins must agree that the said person should be kicked.


Seems douche-baggy, but that is going to have to be the way it is. Sorry.


2 weeks. Clan votes after the 2 weeks about. Admins are responsible for keeping up with this. IF you, as a member or recruit, see admins failing on this. Call them out.



I am going to be rude here, so here goes:

1: NO CHEATING IN SKILL BASED GAMES! I do not need to spell it out. If you hack, you're a faggot and we hate you. A skill based game would be a first person shooter or other game where you use SKILL to win. MMOs do not count….

2: NO EXPLOITS THAT GIVE AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER PLAYERS! We play clean. If you cannot win without some sort of gimmick, you're a faggot and get the fuck out. If you are unsure about something, ask the admins. NOTE: Admins should consult each other when asked.

3: NO RACISM or RACISTS! That's right. We have all kinds here. Deal with it. Racist language is fine between a few friends in private, but if you are in a public place representing the clan, you are breaking a rule.

4: WEAR YOUR FUCKING TAGS AT ALL TIMES! You are in extortion. Fucking be proud of it and show it.

5: RESPECT OTHER MEMBERS! I do not give a fuck how most people play. If they are in your clan, you must respect them. Period.

6: RESPECT OTHER PLAYERS ONLINE. Do not go out of your way to be a faggot. If you are in another clans server, you obey their rules like they were ours.
Not that hard. On a side note: Troll the fuck out of hackers and other trolls.
